Repcentral

Terms of use & privacy notice for the Repcentral browser extension (Agent Link Converter & QC Finder).

Terms of use

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Repcentral is a free browser extension that helps you work with shopping-agent websites: it converts Taobao, Weidian and 1688 product links to your chosen agent, hides reminder popups, links to QC photos and lets you save items. By installing or using it you agree to these terms.

What Repcentral is (and is not)

  • Repcentral is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any shopping agent (KakoBuy, HipoBuy, OopBuy, CSSBuy, SuperBuy and others) or any marketplace (Taobao, Tmall, Weidian, 1688).
  • Repcentral never buys anything for you and never handles your money. All purchases, payments, shipping and disputes happen on the agent's own website, under that agent's terms.
  • Links, prices, QC photos and product data are provided as a convenience and may be wrong or out of date. Always double-check the item, seller and price on the agent's site before paying.

Affiliate codes

When the “Use affiliate codes” setting is on (you are shown it during setup and it lives in Settings; it is on by default), Repcentral registers our affiliate/invite code with the agent website you are visiting — in that site's own cookie or storage, or as a URL parameter for agents that have no client-side store. Agents pay us a small commission on orders. It never changes what you pay, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Acceptable use

  • Use Repcentral only in ways that are legal where you live and that don't violate the agents' or marketplaces' own terms.
  • Don't attempt to abuse, resell or misrepresent the extension.

No warranty

Repcentral is provided “as is”, free of charge, without any warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it, including failed orders, popups it should have hidden but didn't, popups it hid that you wanted, or wrong links. If you disagree with these terms, uninstalling the extension is the remedy.

Changes

We may update the extension and these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy notice

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Short version: everything stays in your browser. We run no servers, collect no analytics, and never see your data.

What is stored, and where

  • Settings (your name, chosen agent, toggles, theme) live in your browser's extension storage. If you are signed in to your browser they may sync between your own devices through your browser vendor's sync, which we cannot read.
  • Saved items, notes, history and counters live only in local extension storage on your device.
  • Nothing is ever sent to us. There is no account, no telemetry, no analytics and no tracking pixels.

Network requests the extension makes

  • Opening links: when you click a Buy, QC or warehouse button, your browser opens the agent's or the QC site's page directly, like any other link click. Those sites see the visit under their own privacy policies.
  • Short links: to convert a shortened link (bit.ly, agent share links and similar), the extension follows the redirect to find the real product URL. Only that shortener host is contacted.
  • Dark mode: when enabled, the extension may fetch a page's own stylesheets in order to recolour them. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Permissions, honestly

  • Access to agent and marketplace sites: needed to hide reminder popups, add the buttons and read the item id from the page you are on.
  • storage: to keep your settings and saved items.
  • sidePanel: the extension's whole interface is a side panel — Home, Saved, Agents and Settings.
  • webNavigation: lets dark mode paint agent pages dark before they render, so there is no white flash. URLs are compared against the supported-agent list and immediately discarded; none are stored or sent.
  • scripting: injects that dark ground and the in-page panel.
  • activeTab: granted only for the tab where you click the toolbar icon, so the panel can open there.

Your data, your call

Settings → Debug → Reset wipes everything the extension has stored. Uninstalling the extension removes it all as well.
